The authors prove the existence of at least three positive solutions for a nonlinear \(m\)-point boundary value problem on the half-line, under some complicate growth conditions on the coefficients of the equation. They claim the results are new even in the semilinear case. The method of proof is based on the five functionals fixed-point theorem of \textit{R. Avery} [Math.\ Sci.\ Res.\ Hot--Line 3, No.\,7, 9--14 (1999; Zbl 0965.47038)].
