    Sei \(G\) eine Gruppe. Eine Abbildung \(f\colon G\to G\) heißt Kozyklus, wenn \(f(xy)=f(x)xf(y)x^{-1}\) für alle \(x,y\in G\), lokaler Korand, wenn es zu jedem \(x\in G\) ein \(z\in G\) gibt mit \(f(x)=z^{-1}xzx^{-1}\), und globaler Korand, wenn \(z\) unabhängig von \(x\) gewählt werden kann. Ist jeder lokale Korand ein globaler Korand, so erfüllt \(G\) das Hasse-Prinzip. Freie Gruppen von endlichem Rang erfüllen das Hasse-Prinzip.
