The main purpose of this paper is to establish a Jackson-type estimate, as well as the resulting sufficient conditions of uniform convergence, for the nodal spline interpolant considered by the author and \textit{G. H. Rohwer} in ``Progress in Approximation Theory'', San Diego, Cal. (P. Nevai and A. Pinkus Eds.), 201-211 (1991) and in J. Comput. Appl. Math. 18,107-119 (1987; Zbl 0637.41009). The dependence of the associated constants an order and mesh are explicitly calculated.
