A \(JB^*\)-algebra is a Banach space and a Jordan \(*\)-algebra in which \[ \| a^* \| = \| a \|,\;\| a \circ b \| \leq \| a \| \| b \|, \text{ and } \| \{aaa\} \| = \| a \|^ 3 \] where \[ \{abc\} = a \circ(b^* \circ c) + (a \circ b^*) \circ c- b^* \circ (a \circ c). \] A \(JBW^*\)-algebra is a \(JB^*\)-algebra which is the dual of a Banach space. A linear space \(J\) of a \(JBW^*\)- algebra \(A\) is called an inner ideal if \(\{JAJ\}\) is contained in \(J\). The weak \(*\)-closed inner ideals of certain \(JBW^*\)-algebras are characterised in this paper.
