The authors study blow up questions for parabolic equations of the form \(u_t-\Delta u= F(u,Du)\), a model case of which is given by \(F(u,Du)= | u|^{p-1} u-\mu | Du |^q\). In the latter case the solution can blow up if and only if \(p>q\). They estimate blow up times as well. The paper is well written and a good source of information on related questions.
