In [\textit{B. Zalar}, in: Topics in operator theory, operator algebras and applications. 15th international conference on operator theory, Timişoara, Romania, June 6-10, 1994, 265-271 (1995; Zbl 0861.46041)], some representation theorems on derivations and automorphism pairs in ternary rings of bounded operators on a Hilbert space were obtained. In the present paper, the author shows that these theorems can be extended to the more general setting of unbounded operators. To get his results, the author needs to use different arguments.
