Research in recent years has revealed that the construct of fuzzy topological spaces behaves quite differently from that of topological spaces with respect to certain categorical properties. This paper discusses some of these aspects. In the first half of the paper the theory of sobriety is established for each finally and initially closed full subconstruct of \(L\)-\textbf{FTS}, the construct of stratified \(L\)-topological spaces and continuous mappings. In the second half of the paper the relationship between the construct \(L\)-\textbf{FTS} and the constructs of Šostak fuzzy topological spaces and \(L\)-fuzzifying topological spaces is presented.
