For \(0<p<\infty\) let \(b^p\) and \(h^p\) repectively denote the harmonic Bergman and Hardy spaces on the unit disc in \(\mathbb C\). In Theorem 1.1 the authors prove that for a real harmonic function \(f\) and \(p>1\), we have \[ \|f\|_{b^{2p}} \leq C_p \|f\|_{h^p} \] where \[ C_p = M_{2p} = \begin{cases} \frac{\cos{\frac{\pi}{4p}}}{\cos{\frac{\pi}{2p}}} & \text{ if }1<p\leq 2,\\ \frac{\cos\frac{\pi}{4p}}{\sin\frac{\pi}{2p}} & \text{ if }p\geq 2.\end{cases} \] It is not known by the authors whether the above constants are sharp or whether the inequalities hold for complex harmonic functions. For the special case \(p=4\) the authors prove that if \(f\) is a non-zero complex harmonic function in \(h^4\), then \[ \|f\|_{b^8} \leq \frac1{2\sin\frac{\pi}{16}} \|f\|_{h^4}. \]
