We say that a function \(f:\ell_\infty\to\mathbb{R}\) is \textit{strongly separately continuous with respect to the \(k\)-th variable} at \(x^0=\{ x^0_i\}_{i\in\omega}\) if \(\forall \varepsilon>0\) \(\exists\delta>0\) \(\forall x\in B_\infty(x^0,\delta)\) \[ |f(x_1,\ldots,x_k,\ldots)-f(x_1,\ldots,x_{k-1},x^0_k,x_{k+1},\ldots)|<\varepsilon. \] This notion was introduced by \textit{O. P. Dzagnidze} [Real Anal. Exch. 24, No. 2, 695--702 (1999; Zbl 0967.26010)], who proved that the class of all strongly separately continuous real-valued functions on \(\mathbb{R}^n\) coincides with the class of all continuous functions. The situation changes if we consider functions of infinitely many variables. \textit{O. Karlova} and \textit{T. Visnyai} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 439, No. 1, 296--306 (2016; Zbl 1355.46065)] proved that for every \(1\leq p<\infty\) and for each \(2\leq \alpha<\omega\) there exists a strongly separately continuous function \(f:\ell_p\to\mathbb{R}\) which belongs to the \(\alpha\)th Baire class and does not belong to the \((\alpha-1)\)th Baire class on \(\ell_p\). In the paper under review the same authors prove that: 1. for any \(0\leq\alpha<\omega\) there exists a strongly separately continuous function \(f:\ell_\infty\to [0,1]\) such that \(f\) belongs to the \((\alpha+1)\)th Baire class and does not belong to the \(\alpha\)th Baire class; 2. For any \(\omega<\alpha<\omega_1\) there exists a strongly separately continuous function \(f:\ell_\infty\to [0,1]\) such that \(f\) belongs to the \((\alpha+2)\)th Baire class and does not belong to the \(\alpha\)th Baire class. It is not known if there is a strongly separately continuous function \(f:\ell_\infty\to [0,1]\) such that \(f\in B_{\omega+1}\setminus B_\omega\).
