The author solves a homogeneous Dirichlet boundary value problem attached to a singularly perturbed semilinear reaction-diffusion equation, on a 2D polygonal domain. The nonlinear term is continuous and satisfies a one-sided Lipschitz condition. The author uses a linear finite element method on general anisotropic meshes. Thus, she provides residual-type a posteriori error estimates on adapted meshes. It is rather strange that in order to illustrate the effectiveness of her fine theoretical results the author solves only a linear problem.
