The authors prove operator error estimates for linear elliptic equations posed in a smooth (non-oscillating) bounded domain as well as to a particular class of linear parabolic equations posed in the same type of domain as in the elliptic case. The homogenization is done in terms of suitable approximations of the generalized resolvent.
