The author studies Cantor sets in \(R^ n\) constructed as intersections of decreasing finite unions of spheres. He gives upper and lower estimates for the Hausdorff and metric (i.e. entropy, Minkowski) dimension of such sets in terms of the number and sizes of the spheres at each stage of the construction. As a corollary he obtains a necessary and sufficient condition for these two dimensions to agree.
