The paper aims to develop a method that would make it possible to unambiguously distinguish an ideally conducting body and one covered with a thin conducting layer by measuring the field scattered by the body at a fixed frequency in the far-field zone. To this end, a respective inverse problem is solved for the Maxwell's equations in an anisotropic medium.
