This paper is about a Cauchy-type formula in the context of bicomplex numbers \(\mathbb{BC}\). To get the desired formula the authors must deal with some delicate issue related to the presence of idempotents elements in \(\mathbb{BC}\). In fact, most of the paper is about non-trivial preliminaries on the subject. Such preliminaries are treated in many details and concern the following subjects: -- algebraic and topological properties of \(\mathbb{BC}\); -- the notion of hyperbolic modulus, defined as natural generalization of the usual norm; -- a discussion on the family of domains, curves and functions taken into consideration; -- the notion of \(\mathbb{BC}\)-holomorphicity and \(\mathbb{BC}\)-Hölderianity; -- the Banach space of \(\mathbb{BC}\)-Hölder functions (endowed with a suitable norm); -- integration on special subsets (namely, hyperbolic curves); -- the Riemann integral for \(\mathbb{BC}\)-functions. After the main result an analysis of the limit values of the Bicomplex Cauchy kernel is given as well.
