For two multiplicative functions \(|f|,|g|\leq 1\), we say that \(f\) is \(g\)-pretentious if the following sum running over primes \(p\) converges \[ \sum_{p}\frac{1-\mathrm{Re}(f(p)\bar{g}(p))}{p}. \] Let \(\lambda\) be the Liouville function. In the paper under review, the author proves that if \(f\) is a completely multiplicative real function satisfying \(|f|\leq 1\), \(\sum_{n\leq x}f(n)\ll x^{1-\delta}\) for some \(\delta\in(0,1/2)\), and \(F(1)=0\) with \(F(s)=\sum_{n=1}^\infty f(n)/n^s\), then \(f\) is \(\lambda\)-pretentious, and for all \(\varepsilon>0\), \[ \sum_{p\leq x}(1+f(p))\log p\ll x^{1-\delta+\varepsilon}. \] Albeit, yet there is no known example for the above result, but the author proves that if such a function \(f\) exists, then \(\zeta(s)\) has no zeros in the half-plane \(\mathrm{Re}(s)>1-\delta\).
