For a domain \(G\subset\mathbb C^n\) let \(S_G, A_G, K_G, \sigma_G\) denote the Sibony, Azukawa, Kobayashi metric, and squeezing function, respectively. The main result of the paper is the following localization theorem. Assume that \(D\subset\mathbb C^n\) is a domain, \(p\in\partial D\) is a peak point, and let \(\varphi\in\mathcal{PSH}(D)\) be such that \(\sup_{D\setminus U}\varphi<0=\lim_{z\to p}\varphi(z)\) for any neighborhood \(U\) of \(p\). Let \(M_D\in\{S_D, A_D, K_D\}\). If \(M_D=S_D\), then we additionally assume that \(\varphi\) is \(\mathcal C^2\) near \(p\). Then for any bounded neighborhood \(U\) of \(p\) there exist a neighborhood \(V\subset U\) of \(p\) and a constant \(m>0\) such that for \((z,X)\in (D\cap V)\times\mathbb C^n\) we have \(M_D(z;X)\geq e^{m\varphi(z)}M_{D\cap U}(z;X)\) and \(\sigma_{D\cap U}e^{m\varphi(z)}\sigma_D(z)\). Consequently, \(\lim_{z\to p}\frac{M_D(z;X)}{M_{D\cap U}(z;X)}=1\) uniformly with respect to \(X\in\mathbb C^n\setminus\{0\}\) and \(\lim_{z\to p}\sigma_{D\cap U}(z)=1\) provided that \(\lim_{z\to p}\sigma_D(z)=1\). The authors also present a version of the above theorem for the case where \(D\) is unbounded and \(p=\infty\). Special attention is paid to the case where \(p\) is a strictly pseudoconvex point of \(D\).
