The paper aims to present a new discrete integrable system, based on the following coupled equations: \[ \frac{dq_n}{dt}+(|r_{n+1}|+|r_n|)(|r_{n+1}|-|r_n|)=0, \] \[ \frac{d(r_{n+1}-r_n)}{dt}-(|r_{n+1}|+|r_n|)q_n=0, \] where \(r_n\) and \(q_n\) are complex variables. This system may be considered as an integrable discretization of a previously known integrable system of dispersionless PDEs. The analysis produces the Lax pair and the Darboux transform (DT) for the integrable discrete system. By means of the DT, exact solutions are produced for single bright discrete solitons, collisions between two solitons (the collision are studied analytically by means of the asymptotic consideration), and breathers, as well as rogue waves that may exist on top of the plane-wave background.
