The author presents sufficient conditions for the existence of at least one solution for an impulsive \(p\)-Laplacian resonant boundary value problem. The problem is considered in an unbounded domain (the half-line). Impulses depend on the state variable and the first derivative of it, and they occur at a finite number of fixed times. The proof consists in transforming the problem into an abstract equation \(Mx=Nx\) in a suitable Banach space to use an extension of Mawhin's continuation theorem proved by \textit{W. Ge} and \textit{J. Ren} [Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 58, No. 3--4, 477--488 (2004; Zbl 1074.34014)].
