The authors introduce several types of time-weighted pressures for noncompact and/or noninvariant subsets. The quantities are called time-weighted in the sense that some portion of the measurement is from the past and the remaining portion is from the future. They obtain several characterizations of these time-weighted pressures. In particular, they prove that for a hyperbolic basic set \(\Lambda\) of a \(C^{1+\alpha}\) diffeomorphism \(f: M \to M\), the time-weighted pressures are preserved under the corresponding coding map \(\chi: \Sigma_{\Lambda} \to \Lambda\).
