Let \(G\) be a group and let \(\mathbb{Z}[G]\) denote its integral group ring. Given a two sided ideal \(\mathbf{a}\) of \(\mathbb{Z}[G]\) the \textit{generalized dimension subgroup}, \(D(G,G,\mathbf{a})\) determined by \(\mathbf{a}\) is defined as \(D(G\mathbf{a})=G\cap (1+\mathbf{a})\). Given a normal subgroup \(A\subset G\), this determines the ideal \(\mathbf{a}=(1-A)\mathbb{Z}[G]\). Given normal subgroups, \(R,S,T\) of \(G\) we have the corresponding ideals \(\mathbf{r,s}\) and \(\mathbf{t}\). Define the following subgroups of \(G\) and ideals of \(\mathbb{Z}[G]\): \[ \begin{aligned} ||R,S,T||=& [R,S\cap T][S,R\cap T][T,R\cap S]\\ ||\mathbf{r},\mathbf{s},\mathbf{t}||=& \mathbf{r}(\mathbf{s}\cap\mathbf{t})+(\mathbf{s}\cap\mathbf{t}) \mathbf{r}+ \mathbf{s}(\mathbf{r}\cap\mathbf{t}) + (\mathbf{r}\cap\mathbf{t})\mathbf{s}+\mathbf{t}(\mathbf{r}\cap\mathbf{s}) + (\mathbf{r}\cap\mathbf{s}) \mathbf{t} \\ \end{aligned} \] The main theorem of this work is the following: \textbf{Theorem} Let \(G\) be a group and \(R,S,T\) be normal subgroups. Then, the generalized dimension quotient \(D(G, ||\mathbf{r},\mathbf{s},\mathbf{t}||)/||R,S,T||\) is a \(\mathbb{Z}/2\)--vector space. The proof consists in identifying the latter group with the kernel of the Hurewicz map in degree \(2\) and for the loop space of a suitable space \(X\).
