The author investigates Diophantine definability and decidability over some rings of algebraic numbers contained in quadratic extensions of totally real algebraic extensions of the rational field \(\mathbb Q\) and generalizes some previous results. One of the theorems in this paper is as follows: Let \(L\) be an extension of a totally real number field \(K\) with \([L:K]=2\). Then for any \(\varepsilon>0\) there exists a set \(V_L\) of primes of \(L\) with natural density greater than \(1-1/[L:\mathbb Q]-\varepsilon\) such that \(\mathbb Z\) has a Diophantine definition over the ring \[ O_{L,V_L}=\{x\in L:\;\text{ord}_{\mathcal P}(x)\geq0\;\text{for any prime}\;\mathcal P\not\in V_L\}. \]
