In this study, the authors deal with very popular tools in real-valued fuzzy measure theory and provide applications in the framework of information fusion. In their setting, if \(X\) is a non-empty set, \({\mathcal R}\) a \(\sigma\)-algebra of subsets of \(X\), then a set function \(\mu:{\mathcal R}\to [0,\infty]\) is said to be a fuzzy measure if: {\parindent=11,5mm \begin{itemize}\item[(FM1)] \(\mu (\emptyset )=\{0\}\) (a so called ``efficiency measure'' or ``generalized fuzzy measure''); \item[(FM2)] \(A,B\in {\mathcal R}\) and \(A\subset B\to \mu(A)\leq \mu(B)\); \item[(FM3)] \(A_1\subset A_2\subset\dots \subset A_n\subset\dots\), \(A_n\in{\mathcal R}\) \((n=1,2,\dots)\Rightarrow \lim_{n\rightarrow \infty}\mu (A_{n})=\mu (\bigcup_{n=1}^\infty A_{n})\) (continuity from below); \item[(FM4)] \(A_1\supset A_2\supset\dots \supset A_n\supset\dots\), \(A_n\in{\mathcal R}\) \((n=1,2,\dots)\) and \(\mu (A_1)<\infty \Rightarrow\lim_{n\rightarrow \infty}\mu (A_{n})=\mu (\bigcup_{n=1}^\infty A_{n})\) (continuity from above). \end{itemize}} The authors observe that the Choquet integral may be regarded as one of the aggregation operators used in the information fusion field and they give an interpretation of sequences of measurable functions. The authors also introduce a new definition of fundamental convergence in the \((C)\) fuzzy mean (involving the Choquet integral) and establish relationships among several types of convergence of sequences of measurable functions on a fuzzy measure space, with special considerations on strongly comonotonic sequences of functions.
