In this paper the authors study a class of anisotropic translation invariant pseudodifferential operators. In their main result they prove a necessary condition for the \(L^p(\mathbb R^n)\)-continuity of these operators. The proof of this theorem is obtained by contradiction, via a standard application of the Closed Graph Theorem. Finally, the authors remark that some results known in the literature can be recovered as special cases of the main result proved by them.
