There are several important results in this communication. The reviewer considers the most significant one to be Theorem 3, which states: ``The space \(K\) of properly embedded minimal surfaces with genus 1 and parallel ends in \(T \times \mathbb R\), \(T\) being a 2-d flat torus, is diffeomorphic to \(\mathbb R \times (\mathbb R^2-A)\) where \(A\) represents the set of antipodal points \((-1,0)\) and \((1,0)\).'' This result is the natural continuation of some topics studied by Meeks, Rosenberg, Ros, and Traizet, and especially of the work of Joaquin Perez. The report is well-organized and easy to read, but it would have benefited from an abstract or a more concise introduction.
