The author gives a modified approach in calculation of expressions for radiated power and angular distribution of radiation emitted by an accelerating charged particle. His derivations based on Lorentz transformations are claimed exact in comparison with standard approaches yet the resulting expression for the emitted radiation power remains unchanged. The drawn conclusion is that such a puzzling result deserves an additional attention and further investigations.
