Die Integrabilitätsbedingung für die totale Differentialgleichung \[ Pdx + Qdy + Rdz = 0 \] wird in symbolischer Form \[ \begin{vmatrix} P&\dfrac{\partial}{\partial x}&P\\ &&\\ Q&\dfrac{\partial }{\partial y}& Q\\ &&\\ R&\dfrac{\partial}{\partial z}& R \end{vmatrix}=0 \] geschrieben (entsprechend für allgemeinere totale Differentialgleichungen und Systeme von solchen). Damit soll sich besonders leicht beweisen lassen, daß die Integrabilitätsbedingung notwendig, invariant und hinreichend ist. Ref. vermißt die Angabe der hierfür nötigen Voraussetzungen.
