Nach einer sehr umfassenden Methode leitet Verf. Verteilungen für Probleme mit Wahrscheinlichkeits-Nachwirkung her. Spezialisierungen ergeben Fälle, die man mittels Rekursionsformeln numerisch gut beherrschen kann. Es handelt sich um Verallgemeinerungen des Gesetzes von Poisson. Je ein lehrreiches Beispiel aus der angewandten Entomologie und der Bakteriologie wird durchgerechnet.
