The author considers the non-scale-invariant inverse curvature flow \(\dot{x}=F^{-p}\nu\) of closed star-shape hypersurfaces in the normal direction, for positive \(p\neq 1\), with \(F\) a symmetric strictly monotone and concave curvature function homogeneous of degree 1 of class \(C^{m+2,\alpha}(\Gamma)\cap C^0(\bar{\Gamma})\), where \(\Gamma\subset \mathbb R^n\) is an open convex symmetric defining cone of \(F\) (\(F>0\) on \( \Gamma\) and vanishing on its boundary). If \(0<p<1\) he gets the following existence Theorem 1.1: If \(\Gamma\) contains the positive cone \(\Gamma_+\), then for any closed star-shaped hypersurface \(M_0=\mathrm{graph}\, u\) (after reparameterization) of class \(C^{m+2, \alpha}\) with principal curvatures lying in \(\Gamma\) the flow \(x(t,\xi)\) exists for all time and the leaves \(M(t)\) can be reparameterized as graphs of a function \(u(t,\cdot)\) over \(\mathbb S^n\) with \(u\in H^{m+2+\alpha, \frac{m+2+\alpha}{2}}(\bar{Q})\) where \(Q=[0,\infty)\times \mathbb S^n\). Suitable rescaled leaves converge in \(C^{m+2}(\mathbb S^n)\) to the unit sphere. This result was first proved by \textit{J. I. E. Urbas} [J. Differ. Geom. 33, No. 1, 91--125 (1991; Zbl 0746.53006); corrigendum ibid. 35, No. 3, 763--765 (1992; Zbl 0777.53011)] when \(M_0\) is a closed uniformly convex embedded hypersurface of the Euclidean space. For \(1<p<+\infty\), \(\Gamma=\Gamma_+\) and \(M_0\) closed strictly convex Theorem 1.2 shows that the flow \(x(t,\xi)\) develops singularities, it exists only on a maximal finite interval \([0,T^*)\), and the leaves are graphs of a function \(u(t,\xi)\) over \(\mathbb S^n\) satisfying \(\lim_{t\to T^*} \inf_{\mathbb S^n}u(t,\cdot)=\infty\) and rescaled leaves \(C^{m+2}(\mathbb S^n)\)-converge for the unit sphere as well. The proofs are based in comparison estimates of the evolution equations of \(u(t,\xi)\) with the spherical one \(\Theta (t,r)\) that is the one corresponding to a sphere of suitable radius \(r\) as initial hypersurface.
