    The system describing chemotactic attraction-repulsion \[ \begin{aligned} &u_t=\Delta u-\nabla\cdot(u\nabla(\beta_1 v_1-\beta_2 v_2)),\\ &\Delta v_1-\lambda_1 v_1+u=0,\\ &\Delta v_2-\lambda_2 v_2+u=0, \end{aligned} \] is studied in the plane \(x\in{\mathbb R}^2\). The authors prove that in the critical case \((\beta_1-\beta_2)\int_{{\mathbb R}^2}u_0=8\pi\) solutions of the Cauchy problem are global in time.
