By definition a \(\mathbb{Z}\)-module in the real Euclidean vector space \(\mathbb{R}^n\) is called a lattice. If \(l= n-1\) is square-free, then the ring of integers in the quadratic field \(\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-l})\) is of the form \[ {\mathcal O}= \Biggl\{{a+ b\sqrt{-1}\over 2} \Biggl|a,b\in\mathbb{Z}\text{ and }a\equiv b\pmod 2\Biggr\}. \] In the paper under review, the author considers lattices \(L\) which are \({\mathcal O}\)-modules. Then multiplication of these lattices by non-principal ideals of \({\mathcal O}\) yields an alternative construction for certain lattices including the well-known Leech lattice.
