[For part I see ibid. 8, 453-456 (1987; Zbl 0645.51010).] A k-arc of PG(2,q) is a set of k points of PG(2,q) such that no 3 of them are collinear. An arc is said to be complete if it is not a proper subset of another arc. Let G be an abelian group. A subset \(X\subseteq G\) is said to be maximal 3-independent if \((i)\quad x_ 1+x_ 2+x_ 3\neq 0\) for \(x_ 1,x_ 2,x_ 3\in X\), (ii) for given \(y\in G\setminus X\), there exist \(x_ 1,x_ 2\in X\) such that \(x_ 1+x_ 2+y=0.\) If, in (ii), \(x_ 1\) and \(x_ 2\) can be chosen in such a way that \(x_ 1\neq x_ 2\), then X is called good. With the help of this notion and using properties of elliptic curves the author constructs some plane arcs contained in such curves. A sufficient condition for the just constructed arcs to be complete is given.
