The transonic shock problem is considered as a one-phase free boundary problem for the nonlinear PDE. The uniform convexity of the transonic shock of the boundary value problem is studied. It is shown that a convex graph is the free boundary of a transonic shock. Nonlocal properties of the solution are investigated.
