\textit{M. Oka} in Complex analytic singularities, Proc. Semin., Ibaraki/Jap. 1984, Adv. Stud. Pure Math. 8, 405-436 (1987; Zbl 0622.14012) gave a new method by which algebraic surfaces were constructed as exceptional divisors through the resolution of a toric variety. In the paper under review a procedure is presented based on the Oka theory to classify algebraic surfaces obtained from such a resolution.
