This paper explores the idea of expressing the Howe correspondence in terms of Langlands-Vogan parameters. Examples are given to show that in general this is expected to be difficult and complicated. One of the results gives a partial answer for the pair Sp(2n)\(\times O(2p,2q)\), dealing with a subset in which the correspondence between minimal K-types and \(K'\)-types is independent of the continuous parameters. This answer is complete when \(n=p+q\) or \(n=p+q-1\). There are a number of other results, including generalizations of the work of \textit{J. D. Adams} [Invent. Math. 74, 449-475 (1983; Zbl 0561.22011)]. The paper ends with three interesting but technical conjectures.
