This paper deals with the optimality and divisibility of linear codes meeting the Griesmer bound. Its goal is to extend the previous knowledge about the eventual possibility of optimality of linear codes of dimension 4 over \(GF(5)\) where the Griesmer bound 207 appears to be the optimal value of \(n\) in the \([n,4,165]\) scheme. The main results show that there is no \([207,4,165]\) code over \(GF(5)\).
