The authors consider the flow from isotropic reservoir to the wellbore for single phase fluid flow. The effects of spatial distribution of perforations are undamped. The governing equations have been written in a form amenable for numerical solution. An approximation has been used to study the interaction of perforations. A comparison of approximate method and full numerical results for flux of the fluid from each perforation is also presented. The approximation provides a more practicable method when many perforations are distributed around wellbore. The authors propose to extend the work for anisotropic permeabilities.
