Forms of coalgebras and Hopf algebras (Q5942783): Difference between revisions

The aim of the paper is to study forms of coalgebras and Hopf algebras over a field. Coalgebra forms of grouplike coalgebras are classified according to the structure of their simple subcoalgebras. If \(W\) is a semisimple Hopf algebra, \(K\subseteq L\) is a \(W^*\)-Galois field extension, and \(H\) is a \(K\)-Hopf algebra, it is proved that all \(L\)-forms of \(H\) are subrings of invariants of \(L\otimes H\) with respect to certain actions of \(W\). The result is applied to enveloping algebras, duals of finite dimensional Hopf algebras, and adjoint actions of semisimple cocommutative Hopf algebras.
