The author, together with \textit{N. Larson} [in: Operator theory, operator algebras, and applications. Proceedings of the 25th Great Plains Operator Theory Symposium, University of Central Florida, FL, USA, June 7--12, 2005. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (AMS). Contemp. Math. 414, 35--40 (2006; Zbl 1151.42317)], identified a particular direct limit of Hilbert spaces that links to the Mallat's wavelet construction from quadrature mirror filters. In this paper, the author shows that the same direct-limit framework works for wavelet-packet bases.
