Let \(\Omega\) be a measurable subset of a compact group \(G\) of positive Haar measure. Let \(\mu: \pi\to\mu_\pi\) be a nonnegative function defined on the dual space \(\widehat G\) and let \(L^2(\mu)\) be the corresponding Hilbert space. The author proves a theorem which gives necessary and sufficient conditions for a Fourier transform to be an isometric isomorphism from \(L^2(\mu)\) onto \(L^2(\mu)\). These conditions connect spectral sets and spectral pairs.
