Let \(C\) be the cluster category of a finite dimensional hereditary algebra of finite representation type, as introduced by \textit{P. Caldero, F. Chapoton} and \textit{R. Schiffler} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 358, No. 3, 1347-1364 (2006; Zbl 1137.16020)] for the \(A_n\) case or \textit{A. B. Buan, R. Marsh, M. Reineke, I. Reiten}, and \textit{G. Todorov} [Adv. Math. 204, No. 2, 572-618 (2006; Zbl 1127.16011 above)] for the general case. The paper shows that BGP reflection functors induce autoequivalences of \(C\) which give a category-theoretic realisation of the truncated simple reflections used in describing the corresponding cluster algebras. The result applies to all Dynkin types and as a consequence proves a conjecture in the second article mentioned above (generalising a result there) giving a bijection between clusters in the cluster algebra and cluster-tilting objects in \(C\).
