The book deals with the idea of ranking in different domains. To evaluate different rankings it is necessary to compare them. The author focuses on a comparison based on appropriate weighted correlation coefficients, presented throughout the book. In addition, some application to bioinformatics, principal component analysis, and clustering of time series are presented.
