A difference scheme is constructed for an elliptic-parabolic problem with a small parameter \(\varepsilon\). Uniform convergence of the scheme is proved by aid of a maximum principle type argument and by studying the asymptotics of the solution when \(\varepsilon\to 0\). A particular (periodic) case is studied numerically to confirm the theoretical result.
