    \textit{G. A. Bogar} and \textit{G. B. Gustafson} [J. Differ. Equations 29, 180-204 (1978; Zbl 0407.34022)] showed that the differential equation \(x^{(6)}-\sum^{2}_{i=0}Pi(t)x^{(i)}=0\) has only the trivial solution provided \(\| P_ 0\|\), \(\| P_ 1\|\), \(\| P_ 2\|\) satisfy a certain inequality. The authors of the present article extend these results to the complete equation \(x^{(6)}- \sum^{5}_{i=0}P_ i(t)x^{(i)}=0\).
