Let \(\mu\) be a finite complex Borel measure on the interval \([0,2\pi]\) with \(\int d\mu(\theta)=1\) and \(I\) a union of disjoint intervals \([a_ n,b_ n]\subset\mathbb{R}^ +\) with \(\limsup(b_ n-a_ n)>0\). Then every continuous function \(f\) on \(\mathbb{C}\) which satisfies the generalized asymptotic mean value property: \(\int f(z+\xi e^{i\theta})d\mu(\theta)\to f(z)\) uniformly on compact sets, as \(\xi\to\infty\) and \(|\xi|\in I\), is harmonic. If the Fourier coefficient \(\hat\mu(1)\neq 0\), then \(f\) is analytic.
