Let \(L\) be a complete lattice and \(X\) a topological space. The authors consider functions \(X\to L\). They show that if \(L\) is infinitely distributive, then it is completely distributive if and only if all such functions are upper and lower semicontinuous, or equivalently are continuous. They then restate this in terms of fuzzy topology.
