The remainder term of Gauss-Lobatto and Gauss-Radau quadrature formulae for analytic functions can be expressed by a contour integral with a certain kernel \(K\) which depends on the weight function \(w\). The author gives for all four Chebyshev weights expressions for the kernel in terms of the conformal mapping \(u\) from the exterior of the interval \([-1,1]\) to the exterior of the unit disc. He determines the location of the maxima of the kernel on concentric circles and conformal ellipses. In several cases he obtains precise theoretical results. In other cases he reports on numerical calculations or gives asymptotic expressions.
