The authors give a numerical method for the solution of evolution equations in Banach spaces. This method is based on a spline approximation of the exact solution which is a generalization and continuation of earlier results of the authors. A first-order evolutionary problem is considered, the numerical method is given and the convergence of the approximate solution is proved. A numerical example is presented to show the effectiveness of the method.
