Solutions of parametric complementarity problems monotone with respect to parameters (Q280092): Difference between revisions

A parametric version of a linear complementarity problem was formulated by Maier. The problem of monotonicity of solutions in the parametric complementarity problem arises in many applications (such as, e.g., the elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication problem, some economic equilibrium problems, etc.). This paper provides several sufficient conditions that guarantee such a monotonicity property of the solutions to parametric linear and nonlinear complementarity problems. Possible extensions of the results to the other classes of complementarity problems as well as to variational inequalities are also discussed.
