The paper proves an identity for the triple product integral of three weight 0 level 1 Maass forms \(f_1\), \(f_2\) and \(f_3\), where \(f_2=\overline{f_3}\). It relates this triple product to another triple product, which involves a theta series, \(f_2\) and the half integral weight Maass form \(F\) whose Shimura lift is \(f_1\). The proof of the formula is based on the trace formula approach, where the spectral and geometric expansions of the triple product between the theta series, \(F\) and a Poincaré series is considered. The proof make use of a Theorem of Katok-Sarnak that relates the product of distinct Fourier coefficients of \(F\) to toric period of \(f_1\). In the appendix a slight correction to that Theorem is given.
