Let \(K\) be a complete discrete valuation field of mixed characteristic and let \(k\) be its residue field of prime characteristic \(p>0\). Assume that \([k:k^p]=p^h<\infty\). Let \(G_K\) be the absolute Galois group of \(K\) and let \({\mathcal{R}}\) be a Banach algebra over \({\mathbb{C}}_p:=\hat{\overline{K}}\) with a continuous action of \(G_K\). Sen studied the Galois cohomology \(H^1(G_K,{\mathcal{R}}^\star)\) and Sen's operator associated to each class in case of a perfect field (which means \(h=0\)). Now the author of the paper under review considers the general case \(h<\infty\). He generalizes Sen's deformation theory of \({\mathbb{C}}_p\)-representations to imperfect residue fields using a method of Brinon. Finally, he applied his result to deformations of \(p\)-adic Galois representations.
